Two different consoles used 1999-2010 that would/should fit my 1993 209 Escape. Mine is out of the boat during tank replacement, so I figure why not see if a more recent design was available and if it would be a real upgrade. Any leads for salvage yards would be appreciated too. Thank you.

Here is a pic of my 30 year old console

I have a 93 escape. Same exact console. I have always wondered if there were upgrade possibilities. Also, If you don't mind, can you PM a ballpark of what the tank replacement ran, and where you had it done? I haven't any issues yet, but 93 is a LONG time ago. I would feel much more comfortable getting that done.

Sent you a message. I was smelling it when I refueled last year so I had a good idea what shape it was in. No one had laid eyes on the tank in thirty years....

This is all very interesting. My '01 209 started to have fuel odors when refueling and it was determined it had corrosion holes in the fuel tank. I spoke with a couple of folks regarding new fuel tanks, and the John at Atlantic Coastal Marine quoted me $1430 for a new aluminum fuel tank made to GW specs. Where did you buy a new tank? Also, since I'm going to re-engine my boat with a 4-stroke, I'm considering going with a smaller tank size to compensate for the added weight in the back as well as better fuel economy,
