I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with the spotlight on my Sailfish 272. The light pans left and right and tilts down; it won't tilt back up. I disassembled the control head and cleaned all the contacts on the switch, which I suspect is the problem. A new control head is $160 although I might be able to find just the direction switch once I track down the parts list. I would be disinclined to spend that much money on a 10-year old spotlight.
Anyone else have this problem, and if so, do you have part numbers?
I seriously doubt its the tilt motor is the problem given the amount of use its received.
