I was wondering if any 225T owners have installed the Ultra HD 4" Jackplate on the backend of the 225's aluminum drive and if so, I was wondering how the boat performs with the installation...?

At low tide we have a very shallow channel that we have to get through on our way out to the Bay. I'm looking at with the instalation of a Jackplate that I'll be able to keep my prop out of the mud and by keeping the engine more vertical, the thrust vector will remain horizontal helping to maintain better directional control and fuel economy. I'd also really like to be able to tilt/raise the entire lower engine casing (Yamaha F250AETX) and prop (Yamaha S.S. Saltwater II) up out of the water when the boats tied up in its slip. As she sits now, with the engine fully tilted up, the water intakes on the lower casing and skeg remain submerged.

The Ultra HD 4" Jackplate is available through http://www.bobsmachine.com
Also, have a look at this link/blog. http://bobsmachine.blogspot.com/
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ian Mitchell
