Yesterday I had the pleasure of fishing with Tony on his 28' Hydra Sports " Keepin It Reel" out of Cape Hatteras North Carolina. It was a great crew of Wally, Bill, Beth and Kevin and myself. We departed from Teaches Lair around 0630 hrs and headed offshore about 25 miles to an area around the 230 line where the water temp went from 54 to 66 in about a quarter of a mile.
We all jigged and caught a variety of sharks, some albies, amberjack, a tile fish and sea bass. Late in the day I jigged a big shark for a North Carolina release citation, it was over 7 feet long and took me almost an hour to bring up.
No tuna for us but we put in a good effort and had great sea conditions all day.
Here are some pictures from our trip.
