Kvh Azimuth 1000

I'm thinking of installing a digital compass and was wondering if anybody has experience with the Kvh Azimuth 1000? One of the things I'm most concerned about is that I have very little helm space on my 228, so this compass would be really close to my 10" Furuno Chart Plotter so I'm worried that it might not read accurately due to the EMI from the plotter. Any inputs?

If that is the case adjust your compass with the Furuno shut down. The only time you really need a compass is when your electronics are gone.
