The Long Island Fishing School will be open for business starting on Sunday January 15th. Classes will be held every Sunday from 9 am-12 noon at the Marine Max Boating Center located at 750 East Merrick Road in Copiague. Headmaster Capt. John Raguso of MarCeeJay Sport Fishing will be hosting this weekly sport fishing seminar series for the 6th consecutive year and other instructors will include local charter boat captains and marine professionals like Capt. Nick Savene of No Time charters, Capt. John Alberda of Sound charters, Kevin Falvey of Boating Magazine, Alan Schneider of Si-Tex Marine Electronics, Vinny Cusumano of Fishin' Mission Bait & Tackle and others. Weekly classes will focus on a variety of inshore and offshore gamefish like bass, fluke, blackfish, sharks and tuna, as well as popular topics like marine electronics, basic navigation, fishing knots and the secrets of how to fight and land large gamefish.
