Livewell/washdown pump question.

1993 209 Escape. Pump is original I believe. Getting noisy, washdown pressure has dropped. (I will pull the inline strainer and check it after the storm passes.) Y-valve used to switch from livewell to washdown.
I have a new Johnson Aqua Jet WD 5.0 gpm max pressure of 70psi. Is this a compatible pump. I am aware of the Shurflo Baitmaster, but I have this one in my hands. Any thoughts or experience with this pump? Not looking forward to changing out the hose running to livewell.....

don't know much about the Johnson unit, but if the GPH and pressure numbers are similar you should be OK.....the only question would be is that pump meant to do wash down only, or wash down and baitwell? I think, not sure, but think certain pumps are for continuous duty and/or dead head pressure and some are not....may wanna check the box for how it can be used or you may burn it out.....also see if its self priming and mounting location/position as that makes a difference in some models.
