Another 9.9 EFI kicker option for those that are interested would be Suzuki. They also make a 9.9 kicker motor that is EFI, has a 5 year warranty vs only a 3 year warranty with Mercury, is lighter as well as cheaper. If/when I ever get another boat and have to re-power, Suzuki will be my first choice.

I have the Suzuki main and 9.9 EFI and they work great on my Seafarer, lots of power and quiet, a great set of engines and yes there is the option to upgrade the 9.9 to 15 hp or 20 hp using the existing ECM.
