Does anyone know of a marine surveyor in Maryland who is knowledgeable with Yamaha outboards that they would recommend for a pre-purchase inspection?

You would probably be better off finding a certified Yamaha mechanic to do a pre-purchase engine inspection.
For a surveryor, I would recommend Mike Preveti out of Solomons.

Ed Miller from HiTech Marine did the F225s on my 265 Express this past spring, cell is 410-375-1638, email at hitechmarine@verizon.net. Agree whole-heartedly with GW204, Mike did my survey as well, very thorough and complete report.
