My 2007 Marlin 300 has 25'' shaft twin 250's.... when I make a steep turn, she cavitates on the opposite side , even with the motors all the way down .. I am contemplating a twin 300 re-power. I am thinking of going to 30'' shaft motors. I NEED SOME THOUGHTS AND FEEDBACK ON THIS PLEASE ...

I'm sure the Owner's can give you their feedback. But the factory can tell you what it was designed for.

If it's only doing it on tight turns, you don't need an extra 5". That would be too much. Check what hole they're mounted on and also look at the anti-vent plates compared to the hull.

FYI... it's "ventilation" not cavitation. They're two entirely different things. Yes, Seasick, I'm not givin' up!

like dennis said, its ventilation, not cavitation.

what hole are the motors currently mounted on? can you take a picture rear of the hull and the lower unit? put a straight edge along the bottom of the hull and extend it to your anti-ventilation plate and take the pic so we can see the height difference

The 25” shaft Suzuki 300s on my Marlin are mounted one hole from the lowest setting and I have no problem with tight turns at speed, even with some trim.
