Hi All,

2006 Marlin 300 which is having a refit of engines and electronics in the next two weeks. Boat does not have autopilot currently but we will be installing a Garmin Reactor 40 with Smartpump.
Could someome advise what the factory location for the AP pump is? There is no generator so I am thinking in the middle of the platform where the generator would normally be installed? There is no power assist installed either.

Thanks in advance.

I had a Simrad pump installed on the same level as the diesel tank for the genset, bad idea. Too much corrosion. The replacement pump is under my the captains seat, corrosion free. Hose length is the only difference. Get it put where water is not present, stay away from the bilge area.

I put my pump in the bilge area stbd side near the hydraulic lines.
My bilge is fairly dry so hopefully corrosion is manageable, a regular spray with lanolin should do the trick

Thanks for the replies.
I have decided to mount above the water tank in the bilge. The pump will be sealed with lanolin and in a sealed box.
