Hi All

05 Marlin - Troubleshooting air conditioner not blowing cold. I noticed the system was around 52 degrees when first turned on (68 in cabin) and eventually works its way to the 65 degree setpoint but will not switch to cooling mode. I adjusted the ambient temperature setting in the programming to +10 degrees (which is the max) over what the unit believes is ambient temperature. The self test kicks on the compressor and blows cold air but I cannot get the unit to a setpoint that will turn the system into cooling mode in auto.

Is this just a bad temperature sensor? FYI, water flow is solid.

I'd try to get manufacturer assistance if you can.

Hi athomp228 - I know this is an old thread. It seems like we're having the same issue on our 33 Express. The temperature in the cabin is reading 65 degrees (what it's set at) and the unit kicks on as it's supposed to when the temp rises but quickly comes back to 65. The problem is that it's a heck of a lot hotter in there than 65. I've not tried adjusting the ambient temperature yet but did pull off and clean the temperature sensor. When I held it, it instantly recognized my body heat and kicked the cool cycle on until I reinstalled it. At which point it returned back to the 65 and shut off.

Question for you: how did you verify it was a bad temperature sensor? And I'm hoping the replacement is to the unit and not the wall panel above the TV, it seems like snaking that will not be to much fun. Any insight you can give?

Thanks!
