It''s listing just enough to bother me (appears to be almost 2") and clueless where the extra weight is hidden. Loaded with fuel and gear, or, nothing at all....she's still starboard heavy. Thanks!

My boat does the same...so do someothers.....the console, wiring and rigging all ends up on that side...the extra weight is tipping the scales...when underway, I just trim a little more to that side

Great......I thought I had to trim starboard because I'm overweight.

Thanks!

Does it list only when the motors are raised? If so if you have your motors turned to starboard the weight of those four strokes will cause a slight list on the starboard side and visa versa.

I actually had the same problem on my previous 306 and i was scratching my head for a looooooooooong time to figure out why, end up to be the motors because i had them turned when up. The pointer was given to me by an ooooold salt in our marina, otherwise i would still scratch my head.

Boats will also list at dock toward the windward side. The wind pushes the boat tightening on that side's docklines, which pull the boat down on that side (assuming your dock lines are lower at the dock than they are on the boat.

Thank everyone! Looks like Richie Rich has it right because under static conditions with engines aligned properly.....she's still starboard heavy. I'll turn the engines to Port and possibly tilt to level boat out to suffice my ADD issues. Happy Holidays to All!

They must have made some changes that distributed weight differently between 2002 and my 2005... the only changes I'm aware of between those years were mostly cosmetic. I'm definitely not seeing the problem you are seeing. Yes... there is weight on the starboard side for rigging, cables etc. But on the port side you have 4 batteries that must weigh 150lbs+, plus pump(s) and rigging for the A/C, bait well and raw water wash down. Other big swingers like water heater... on starboard side, a/c unit.... on port side, and waste tank + fresh water tank, + fuel tanks + bowthruster on center line. I imagine the head and galley offset each other. That 2" list you have would drive me crazy if lining your motors up dead center does not cure the problem. Maybe you should give grady service a call... they could probably answer your question quickly.

The other thing you can do is simply add ballast to the other side. As I've added equipment to my 305 I keep track of how much weight it's adding to the starboard or port side. I then add that much ballast to the opposite side.

Buckshot from a gun store makes for great ballast.
