I have a 1990 marlin that’s in great condition for its age with twin 250 mercury efi’s the boat is for sale now but if she does not sell I’m looking to repower with 4 strokes Suzukis. Would the 225 be enough of would I have to get the 250df

I've done some research and I'll probably repower with Suzuki when the time comes... and go as big as you can is my two cents. Sometimes a little extra power makes a difference.

I owned a 1993 marlin 28. I repowered with twin tohatsu (Honda) 250’s. It was great. The marlin did better with the weight. I came from Yamaha 250 ox 66. 250’s are the minimum for a 10’ 6” beam boat. 798EC796-08B3-463E-B3A9-0688CD4FD291.jpeg

Zuke 225s are mechanical shift only. I would do the DF250APs or seriously look at the merc v6 225s or v8 250s with digital controls
