Regarding my 2001 Seafarer. When reviewing the Accessory Wiring chart in the Grady manual, it notes that there is a 16ga Pink/Red memory wire.

Does anyone know what this memory wire feeds? Is it supposed to feed the Yamaha gauges so they maintain trip history? Or is it supposed to feed a factory installed stereo or something.

I believe that currently this memory wire is fused and connected to the Bat 1 terminal of my battery switch.

The memory wire is for your stereo memory presets. It's always hot, so you presets don't erase when you shut off battery. Some newer stereos have built in memory, so the memory wire isn't necessary. I use the memory wire fir my stereo and hard wired auto tether.
