Mildew Odor Bags

anybody have problems with the mildew odor bags that they hang in your boat for the winter? The bags were made by a company called
odor science their was 5 or 6 bags hanging in my 33 grady and every bag broke done some damage to the chrome fixtures in the head and
a mirrow in the aft berth.just trying to get some info on how many boats had problems with this product

It was a common issue but was also informed about it in the beginning of winter by a local marina so I used a different company.
