More on the Saltwater Registration

For what it's worth - I spoke with Boat U.S.' public affairs office to see if they would be willing to put something in their magazine to avoid any "gotcha" situations the next time the Coast Guard boards you. Does anyone know who will enforce the saltwater registration? The Boat US employee I spoke with said that it was his belief that this may be more of a benefit for SW fisherman because the commercial guys always exaggerate the recreational catch. Of course he also said the door was always open initiate a new tax and call it a license. I bet by ten years from now we'll be paying 3 figures to go fishing, esp if Peabo Obama gets in a second term
