In the quest for added rod holders on my Fisherman 236 I came up with this idea. I did not want to drill any holes. My boat has the optional ski pylon. I bought a stainless three rod holder at West Marine for $93.00, some aluminum theatrical lighting clamps online and a small cutting board at my local hardware store along with some stainless hardware. I have around $135.00 total in the project. I left the handle on the cutting board so i can hang it up in my locker at the marina.2D17FCCB-5535-4471-8F1A-5EED12EA708E.jpegA23006FA-127D-4F0F-B7A6-2ECFBBB02130.jpeg30A6A2AE-2DEE-44AB-BFDB-E5EDF7E72C35.jpeg

Look nice, another option is to mount tracks along the gunnel and then you can add or subtract as you need them. You will also be able to place them where you need them most often. You can then remove the rod holders when not required. Look at cisco fishing products, great quality, and service.
