I have a 1996 Seafarer 228g which has a extended transom mount for the engine. I noticed the fiberglass has started to dilaminate or is missing on a couple small sections on the underside of the mount. I'm wondering if this is a problem I need to address before the boat sits in the water on a moring all season or if the mount is made of a material like solid metal that won't be effected. I opened the hatch on the top of the mount and there is no water inside but I don't want long term damage to the motor mount. My understanding is the back of the mount is solid aluminum but it's unclear to to me what the rest of the mount is made of and if the missing/delamninated fiberglass under the mount is an issue. I had a new engine put on last year and the dealer evaluated the structure of the mount and said it was fine.

It's a bit hard to see in the images because it's be bottom painted over. Not entirely sure what the bolt on the bottom of the mount is for, assume it's some type of drain:
