Hi guys, Im looking for some advice, I have a mid 80s 24ft offshore with twin 1994 150hp Johnson Ocean runners, its like running a V12 Jag lol, I am looking at a 2004 250hp saltwater edition Merc. Its 50hp less than the combined twin motors, but also alot less fuel and im wondering if the difference in years would roughly equal a similar Actual Hp with the difference in weight and such, since I know the 94s are running great, but also designed for when gas was dirt cheap...
does the room think it would be a decent idea? would the boat get up on plane easy? not overwork the motor?
Thanks in advance

You may get better MPG but I doubt it's worth getting rid of 2 good running motors for an unknown. You may notice an improvement with a DI motor but you may want to find a pair of F150's.
