Motor tilt question Sailfish/Marlin

My '98 272 has 225 OX 66's on it. At full up tilt the lower unit noses are still in the water.
Does this happen with 4 strokes as well?
Is it eliminated on later models?

2007 marlin with f250 has the nose in the water up to the forward intake screen with a full load.
