Im mounting a 200 etec on my 92 204. I have the board flat against the hull. Cavitation plate is about 1" above the board. In the 3rd mounting hole. Am i good or should i go up, or down?

A good place to start, but depending on the prop and stern weight you may need to raise it again. I am running a 4 blade prop on my F200i4 208 on the last hole. So as high as I can get.

I had it in the 3rd hole last year. The cavitation plate was slightly underwater but was not spraying up. At crusing speed, about 30 mph on tighter turns id get some blowout. Unfortunately due to logistics its a HUGE pia to get my boat in and out of the water so experimenting really isnt in the cards.

Make sure you seal the screws on that Aluminum plate big issue with water entering !
