Any suggestions on where to mount an EPIRB on a 2002 Gulfstream?

I prefer to keep mine in a ditch bag. I had one mounted to the wall under the helm in the past. You want it in a spot that is not in the way, but readily accessible if required.

what type of EPIRB do you have? is it a auto release , if auto, how deep does it have to sink to release? Will your boat sink that far? Most Grady will sink and just float a few feet below the surface with some part of it afloat, unless it burst into flames, then it will burn to. I would mount it close to were you can get to it when your jumping ship, next to the life raft or next to the helm.
