Moving priming bulb

I am thinking of moving my priming bulb on Yamaha 225 hp outboard to below hatch panel to left of engine. I have 1993 Seafarer 22, I know I have to keep bulb horizontal, but this will keep it out of elements, Any thoughts? Thanks

Primer Bulb actually works best vertical, up side toward engine.

I have my (now single) Primer Bulb inside hatch and between Fuel tank feed line and Water Seperator filter.

Two lines (with anti-syphon Check Valves) out to Main Engine and Kicker.
