Moving up to Seafarer 228, Engine Advise

The newer 228s are rated for 300hp but my '00 is only rated for 250 max. I re powered this spring with a F250 and it is very impressive. Could only imagine with the F300

I had a 2010 228 w f 250 and it was ok. Top end was 41mph at 6k rpm. Did 2.9 mpg at cruise. Like you I believe the f 300 would be the bomb !
