Need Help: Replacing a Hinge on Tournament 22.5 Cuddy Cabin

I have a 2003 Tournament 22.5 and a hinge pin for the cuddy cabin broke. I ordered a replacement and thought it would be an easy fix, but I cannot figure out how to get the old hing off. Feeling pretty stupid, but would appreciated any suggestions.

Looks like a fun project ....not really. The screws have thread lock on them to make sure they don't vibrate out. To get them out you need to find a screwdriver that fits the heads perfectly and a good pair of vice grips to grasp the shaft. There is a 50/50 chance that the anchor spins before the thread lock breaks lose, if that happens it really sucks.

To repair it for about a buck and in an hour or so, get a SS machine screw 1/4" longer than the pin length with a nut that fits the hole sungly. Probably a #10 or a 3/16". Grind the head down to fit over the hinge end just perfect. That is grinding down the edge not the top, need that screw slot. Next grind down the nut to the same size making it nice and round and pretty.. Test the fit by putting things together. Once it all fits and looks nice take it apart and reassemble it using red thread lock on the nut. Clean any thread lock drips quickly with solvent. Tighten it snug but not too tight holding the now round nut with needle nosed pliers. Let things set for a bit and if you want it to look just right grind off the small bit of bolt sticking out of the nut with a moto tool.

Last step ....return the replacement hinge and take yourself out to dinner with the money you saved
