Bought the boat new in 2005 curtains are starting to look pretty shabby even though took care them over the years. Question is should I try and see if I can get new curtains from Grady White or just have glass replace. All of them must be done. What do you think will be more cist effective. Canvas 's are in good shape.

Thanks

Try A&J Canvas. They do the GW enclosures.

Any canvas shop should be able to cut out the old and stich in new clear curtains - did mine about 4 years ago on my 265, go with the stratoglass and keep it clean and polished, you won't be disappointed!

Bob. I would be interested in purchasing your old canvas if you want to entertain that. I'm going to buy a commercial sewing machine and attempt to make a set for my 265. I just need an old set to work with as a pattern. thanks, dale 478-279-2287

Dale, I am not getting rid of curtains just having new glass put in. Canvas were in good shape.

As mentioned above, go to a local upholsterer and have them replace the windows. That will definitely be cheaper than getting a whole new set. Another vote for upgrading to Strataglass, too. Just remember to protect them with a sheet inbetween each as you roll or stack (do not fold... really shouldn't do that with isenglass, either, though). Strata is more expensive, but should last much longer, thereby making them actually less expensive. Plus, the view through them is MUCH better.

Let us know how you make out. I was pleasantly surprised with the quote from AJ Canvas. It was 40% less than a local shop as they had the patterns for the specific hull number. You just might be surprised. The upgraded plastic glass was $200 more.
