I have been using a Garmin 198c for the last 10 years on my 1995 Grady white 22 seafarer. I'm going to upgrade and not sure what unit to get as of now although I do need to go with a bigger screen, not sure 7 or 9 inch? the problem I foresee is where do I mount this unit ? Id like to flush mount it on my dash but then I lose my locker/glove box. Any Ideas or pictures of modifications would be great thanks

I am in the same situation with a slightly older seafarer. Subscribing to this thread so I can check up on it. If I see a good idea on any other site, I will share it here.

I have the Garmin 7610vsx with chirp/side/down/radar. I love it. It is easy to use and networks with a ton of other units. I just picked up a clearance 8212 MFD that it will network with via 1 cable and share all data and operate separately if needed. I like the ability to customize your combos. With Smart Mode you can pick what information shows on which machine and what each control.

I am in the process of putting in new electronics. Went with the Raymarine eS78 with WiFi quantum radar dome and chirp transducer. I replaced the stock acrylic door with a piece of black starboard and surface mounted the head unit.
