New GPS

Hello. Looking for some quick advice from the forum. I have decided to upgrade my GPS system on my 208 Adventure. I currently have a Garmin GPS and a Lowrance fishfinder. I have decided to go with a combo GPS/fishfinder system, and want to have a local dealer install it for me. I am going with a transom transducer system, as opposed to a thru-hull.

Any idea what I should pay for the dealer to take my old system out and install the new one? And, any additional advice is appreciated.

Similar to you, I just had my old Apelco unit taken out and a new Garmin 540 put in. Since I matched up the new one where the old one was and the wiring could be pulled through this was a pretty easy install. They had quoted $350 for that specific work. Good luck.
