Hello guys. First time power boat owner here coming over from sailboats. My wife decided she wants to go a little faster than 6 or 7 knots at a stretch and has been pushing for us to get a power boat for the last couple of years. When I started looking on Boat Trader I immediately fell in love with the way the Seafarer looks - it's a nice looking boat! I put down a deposit on a 2005 Seafarer 228 down in Florida and plan on making the trip down from Massachusetts in a couple of weeks for a sea trial and to finalize the deal. I cannot wait.

Welcome aboard and congrats! I did a cross country roadtrip for my 2004 Grady White 228 Seafarer back in October of 2021. Where I flew from Seattle out to Maryland, put an offer in on the boat, did a sea trial run the next day, sealed the deal, rented a U-Haul truck and then trailered her back 3,009 miles to just north of Seattle where I live. She's been a fantastic boat for coming up on almost 4 years now, good luck with your purchase and the haul back home.
