New radar user

I just got a new to me 228 with a new Raymarine open array radar. Does the house battery need to be upgraded to accommodate the radar or will a typically sized house battery work. I haven’t picked up the boat yet so I don’t know the size of the battery only that it is holding a charge as checked by the survey.

You should be fine. I wouldn't change anything until you run it. I've never had a radar issue even when the battery voltage dipped due thruster or restart. I have had the Raymarine DSM reset causing me to loose sounder bottom, but other than that once in a while no issues.
