Just wanted to give a shout out to Lee with A & J Canvas in Vanceboro, NC. I live in Ocean City, MD and decided to replace the 10+ year vinyl on the front and side enclosures for my 2006 330 Express. After receiving some very high local quotes, I decided to reach out to A & J Canvas who still makes the canvas for Grady-White. Although it was close to Christmas, Lee said to ship them and they would send them back after the new year. I shipped them in a Christmas Tree Box and had them back less than 10 days later. They replaced with heavy gauge strataglass and they turned out excellent and at nearly half the cost quoted locally. They even replaced some of the zippers and snaps.

If you need your vinyl and/or canvas replaced, I would give them a call at 252-244-1509. They should have the original templates for your boat – just give them the hull number. Reliable and quality work! Couldn’t be happier. :goodjob

Agreed 100%.

I did the same thing for my 2006 330 and had the same excellent experience.

This is yet another example why Grady-White continues to have the best customer service and post warranty support of any boat on the water. Miss Lee is terrific!

Did they reuse your canvas or was it a complete replacement?

Estimate on the cost? Replaced mine locally but the turnout was not that great, he also kept the original canvas :-|

I contact them as well just for an idea on the cost for a full replacement set. Have been looking at used 228's and yes you do need hull number, but they were kind enough to give me a estimate for a full set. $2500 includes shipping, your choice of color on the fabric, blue, black, grey, or the white/almond color. Full strataglass. The older enclosures didn't use the strataglass. To have fresh original curtains would be nice.

Will definitely look into the curtains after the purchase of the 228.

John,
Did you use this Co.?
Shipper picked up my 228 last night in NC, I'm going to be doing a full replacement and I just came across this old post.

Can't say enough good things about Lee and her folks... They were going to replace plastic for me in my old canvas, but due to an screw-up on my part, we went with an entirely new set... Lee sent a guy all the way up here to Deale, MD specifically to get measurements for my 265 Express so she's have a pattern on file... The curtains fit flawlessly and are of the highest quality... Cannot say enough good things about A&J...

Yes sir I did. Lee is a super person, got to meet her a couple of years ago. Highly recommend A&J. They made me a new full enclosure for my 228 when I bought it in '17.
