Hi to everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and ask a few questions. Recently bought a 1977 grady white kingfish 25'4, it is a big project boat! I am very excited to start, I am going to take the i/o off and put on outboards ect. Well the story of the boat is I found it on ebay, it was an insurance boat, the boat had been beached ,(would have loved to know how it got beached) but anyways so we went to look at it, come to find out we were the only ones to go look at it personally. Well the auction did not do it justice, the boat was in far better condition than listed, but only we knew it because we went and saw it. Well to make a long story short we got it for $910. Now we are on the journey of restoring the boat. The hull is solid as you know because you all have grady white, we are going to fix all the fiberglass damage re paint, put new enginges ect. If anyone can give me ideas on what the best paint is for gradys where to get parts ect. Any ideas on how to reinforce the transom to put a transom bracket on? Thank you inadvance, when she is all done we will post pics. Excited to start.
