Fisherman 222
Hi All,

I found the boat I was looking for! The elusive Fisherman. It’s an 06 with 06 250 four stroke. Very excited to get on it and start enjoying the water.

It has no bottom paint...been racked it’s entire life. I have a slip that it will live in from May to October in New England.

Can anyone point me in the best direction for barrier coat/bottom paint?

What do I need to do to prep the hull? There is so much info out there that it’s a bit overwhelming.

Does anyone have any pictures of a 222 with bottom paint on it...that would give me an ideal where my paint line would be!

Thanks in advance.

Interlux makes a nice epoxy barrier coat, not too pricey. They've also got a big selection of bottom paints depending on your needs.
Whatever you decide to use I'd recommend sticking with the same brand when it comes to the barrier coat/bottom paint.
