Stopped by boat show today. GW dealer Anchor Marine who in the past rarely seemed to ever have any instock GW boats now was showing an good number of them including 205 Tournament, Journey, Gulfstream and a 2008 282 Sailfish. Show focused on boats under 30ft. Good number of boats at show, but much fewer merchants and fishing equiptment booths than either Atlantic City or NYC shows.

I tried to spark up a conversation with one of the Anchor Marine salesmen, he had the personality of a damp rag. For vendors it's probably the worst show in the area, but if you're looking for a smaller boat it's the one to go to.

Anchor Marine is the worst Grady dealer in the area IMHO. We tried to deal with them on 3 occasions and they never tried to persue a sale, never called back to answer questions and always had excuses. The Edison show is always a good show for smaller boats, but unlike the NYC or AC shows, it does sell a lot of boats normally. It is known to be a selling show, where as the 2 bigger shows sell some bigger boats and showcase new products. It seems this years list of dealers on the webpage was much shorter then normal, so I did not attend. If you want a good tackle show, the Saltwater Expo March 14-16 at the Garden State Expo Center usually has some good stuff. Some prices ar ebetter then others, so have an idea of what things are worth and what you may want to buy, but it is almost all saltwater gear. In the past it has always been a good show, hopefully it will be this year as well.
