I am heading to Fla to fish and for a wedding. I have been prepping, cleaning and readying the boat for the trip. As I was waxing her it struck me once upon time my boat was one of the larger Grady made boat if not the flagship.

Think about that...there was a time when a 22 foot outboard boat was big. Wow, times have changed a lot. Just a random thought ...

1983 was a good year, the year the Seafarer debuted.

My wife and I lived in Raleigh, NC from 1980 til 1997 and went to the boat show every year. We always admired the Gradys, Albemarles, and Wellcrafts. Never did I think I would own one.

Enjoy your trip Bob, she will take care of you.

Nothing like having you priorities in order!
I read "We're gonna fish! oh, and there's that wedding thing I guess we gotta do...hope it doesn't take away too much fish'in time"

Lt. Mike,
As you know living in the mountains limits my sea time to a couple times a year. I usually take a spring trip to Florida and this year my niece got married last Saturday . I did a twofer as it were. I got 2 days in before the wedding and 1 day after. Drove home yesterday on Monday. Fishing was ok. Got skunked Friday ...Thursday was solid and Sunday we put some schoolie dolphin the box.

This week we put the boat in the slip on Fontana. She will be there for the summer until we go to the Keys.

A little off the post but reminded me of a trip recently when I was explaining to a teenage about how much work it is getting the boat ready for the season /waxing then realized he has know idea what I'm talking about since he has never waxed a boat /car then looked at his dad who most likely never waxed anything either . I started waxing my bike ! Oh well times are changing !
