Working on 1986 gradywhite offshore with twin yamaha 150 outboards with a 704 twin engine binnacles. I just replaced all 4 shift and throttle cables. If i use the trim switch in the port handle the engines will lower but only the port engine will raise. I can get the starboard engine to raise with the starboard trim switch located at the base of the binnacles. I verified all wires are connected under the binnacle controls. Any ideas?

Based on the fact that this problem occurred after your work on the control, I would assume that you messed something up. You may have to remove the switches from the handle and look for a broken or loose connection. It's not too hard to get the switch out and you don't need to disassemble the control. Of course if a wire broke in the handle , you have a bit bigger job to get to it.

Found the problem. There are relays inside each control handle assembly. One of the wires slightly pulled out of the connector for the relay for the starboard engine.
