I am waiting to pick up 1989 25' sailfish with twin 150 HPDI's on bracket. Could someone give me an idea of the overall length of this boat on the trailer? Its a continental trailer, dual axle. I am trying to get a fence setup before I get the boat here and its a 2 1/2 hour drive to go get a measurement.
Thanks,
Dave

If you still need the length you could go online to the trailer manufacturer to get the overall length of the trailer. (You may need the trailer model number for that.) Then go to Google Images and search

sailfish 252 trailer

and you will get dozens of photos of Sailfish on trailers. Find a photo of a boat that looks like yours and estimate how much boat/bracket/motor is hanging off the back of the trailer and add to the trailer length.

(I wouldn't poor any concrete footings based on this estimate, however... :|

Dave,

I just bought a 1994 252 sailfish. I had a new trailer custom made for the boat. The total length with the engines down is 36' 6". The trailer is 31' 6"
tip to end of bunks. The platform and engines overhang the back bunks by 5' O''.

Thanks.
38' of space is what I was thinking.
That should leave room to clear both ends.
Thank you for the reply's. Can't wait until I
pick her up and get her ready for the water.
First grady for me. Lots of great info here,
I'll be posting plenty of questions I'm sure!!
