overnighter cabin entrance

Has anyone made or installed a hatch to allow easier access to early models of the overnighter 204 C....??? I think some later model 1995+ Grady re designed . but looking for any modification to earlier models. I would like to "step down" into the cabin rather than "crawl in".

Google for companionway hatch. There's all kinds. Flip... tilt... sliding... etc. The big question will be how much integrity you're going to lose by cutting that hole. I think you'll be OK if you don't go too big - but you really won't know till you do it!

Or... take up yoga. It's good for you, anyways!
