Painted Grady-White Hulls???

Folks,
Who has a recent production GW with paint on the hull? Harbor Dark Blue or Cape Gray? Seaport Blue now only available as a paint and not sure how paint stands the test of time. Is it hard to touch up with regular use “dings” and bumps? Do the boats have to be repainted periodically? I have no knowledge with respect to painted hulls but Seaport Blue has always been my favorite color and has been gel coat up till now.

Interesting you say Seaport Blue is now a paint-only option. I have the Seaport blue gelcoat color on my 2020 Fisherman 236. I love that color!

Same on our 2021 236. Get compliments all the time on Seaport Blue. Surprised GW deleted the color option for gel coat.

Seaport Blue is now a paint only option, we just ordered a 257 Fisherman and that’s what the dealer stated.

Really high up charge on the painted hull compared to a gel coat hull.

The list price for the full hull gel coat option on our boat was $1,410. What is the paint charge? I don't see it on their website.

I have a 325 freedom on order and if I went with the painted hull the upcharge was around $7k if I remember right.

The painted hulls I see have a lot of scratches when you are close up and can see the white gelcoat under it. I'd personally pass on a painted hull.

Yes as best as I can tell the painted hulls cost about 6K more than gel coats. Fishtales I think I'm going to pass on the paint. Harbor blue awesome looking IMO but I think I might come unglued if I were to scratch the hull and couldn't have it removed/repaired quickly and without notice.
