I pulled boat out of the water for some cleaning and noticed my thru hull transducer was painted with bottom paint. It had never been painted before, but marina who did spring servicing including bottom paint must have painted the transducer. I had been under the impression you do not want to the paint transducer. Is this a big problem? Should I and can I remove the paint. If so what is best way without damaging transducer? Does this effect raymarine fish finder? Any opinions/ suggestions are welcomed.

SK...they do paint transducers with bottom paint to prevent scale buildup, but they use a special paint, I believe its water based, made just for transducers so it wont affect the plastic housing....regular bottom paint is not recommended...ask the boat yard what they used....
