Does anyone know if Pennzoil synthetic oil TCW3 is good to run in my outboard cost is 12.67 per gal.
Also is Mercury TCW 3 at 18.76 a good price per gal.
My out board is a 1996-225hp oceanrunner.

I have used Pennzoil Synthetic BLEND for many years in a 1992 115HP Johnson. I also use Sea Foam from time to time. Very satisfied with both products.

I am swapping to the full synthetic pennzoil after rading some threads on it. I will let you know what I find out.

If you can get the Merc TCW3 for $19/G, why risk the motor for $6?

I used the Penzoil full synthetic in a 150 Yamaha for 4 years and never had a problem. Motor smoked less than on the previous oils and idled better.

ran pennz full syn in my boat with 200 johns, took the vro's off and mixed the tank. smoked alittle less and idled alittle smoother, those motors still screamed like a funny car. those engines were solid rocket boosters.
