Has anyone taken a photo of their Marlin stern bench while they recovered it? I'm looking for the placement of the bolts thatattach to the stainless bar.

I had mine redone, but I think they turned the inside board around. I cannot find the bolt holes.

Maybe a photo of the bar on yours, how far they are from the edge.
 
There are two bars. One is a straight one that is very close to the rear edge of the rack that makes up the seat base. The other is the U shaped one that swings.
The straight bar holes are 1/2" from the back edge of the rack. The two outer screw holes are 1" from the sides. The third is in the middle again, 1/2" from the back edge.
The U shaped holes are under the perforated material and should be easy to see.

Thanks Fishtales, your description and measurements helped me find the bolt pattern. It had stiff material, a fine needle and it was a cinch. All is good. Now I'll have to replace the rest as it looks trashy with the new bench seat.

Fishtales - why a new seat? Is it any better at not getting waterlogged? Where did you get it?
