Been working on compounding and polishing my 265. What are people using to get into some of the tight spaces, like around the outriggers and tower anchor points?

Been looking at some of the mini da polishers, with maybe a 2" or 3" backer

Thanks

Interested too. Just did my 265 (she was so neglected) and these points were challenging. I taped off with blue tape and did the best I could with the rotary and then by hand. For wax I did the best I could with the small da and then by hand.

When I had the top off I got in there with a dewalt and some polishing compound and then wax. I took the rigger bases off too.
I even used some wet 1500 grit in some places first

Thats not happening this time...It'll get cleaner wax on a Ryobi 18V waxer and by hand in the nooks...

Those areas on a 265 are a PITA. getting in some of those areas with a machine, you are also competing with the narrow walkway and the railing. You can try putting an extension on the buffer and using a smaller pad. For tight areas on my boat, I have found a 90-degree cordless drill and a small 3 inch plate and pad work very well.
