Hello,
Today I tried to replace my factory trim motor with a new Arco 2665. My engine is a 175txrr year is 93.
My problem is that I had to break the motor off the pump because of all the rust jacking on the motor housing I was unable to get to the portside bolt even after loosening and removing required bolts. when I went to replace the motor the shaft adapter arco supplied was wrong hex head on pump side, the factory was a blade / slot style. I broke the factory adapter when breaking off the old motor. Now what do I do? I have an email to arco but they won't see it till Monday. I have read that I might be able to just mount the new pump without the adapter, anyone have any experience with this.

The Fix!!!! I ordered a new pump drive adapter from a Yamaha dealer, had it in two days. The part was available on eBay but the shipping was longer.
Arco just emailed me today, a little late but at least they got back to me.

Glad you got yours fixed. Please share photos to help others in the future.
