Prop Options for 330

Back to the original topic, if I may. :D Took a ride out to Veatch canyon earlier this week. The new motors and props are significantly better than the old. In 2022, the trip took 320 gallons, this week 270 gallons. Quite a nice savings, which really helped the peace of mind 120 miles offshore. Oh, we caught a couple fish, too.

that 50 gallons per trip will pay for the props pretty quick. might take a bit longer to pay for the new motors though, haha.

do you notice it riding more level with the added stern lift?

The prop cost will indeed be made up quickly with those kind of trips. Yes, I've noticed a difference in ride. The boat rides better at 24-25kts than it does at 21. Not sure if it is stern lift or something else. One other thing I've noticed is that the motors trim up much higher than with the old ones. Typically at 5 bars, where it used to be more like 3. Once that bow falls down and the rpms catch up, it is a great ride.

thats interesting, i feel like mine runs better at 35 than 30 (narrower boat, bow probably comes down more at a higher speed for me). im starting to think about 4 blade props as well. i just dont want it to stuff the bow at higher speed, but i guess thats where the 5 bars of trim comes in rather than 3 bars of trim

remind me which ones you went with....was it the Power Tech OFS4
