I think we're going back and forth on our posts! Anyhow, our boat, also 282 2002 with the f225 four stroke, came equipped with a relatively unmarked set of stainless 15.5x17" wheels, with the port prop having a shattered blade. The seller equipped with re-hubbed Yamaha SWS II stainless 15.25x19." We run the boat relatively light on fuel most times, and we see 5600-5700 WOT with two or three people aboard. On this topic there's a lot of strong opinions, but with the number of variables in play, if you're within 2-300 RPMs of 6000 and regularly exercise the twins, should be ok.

I think the 15.25x19" is what the boat was typically OEM equipped and tested with.

The other strong opinion is either a 3 or 4 blade 15.5x17, which will often run closer to the ideal 6000 RPM WOT if you load the boat up heavier.

My 98 sailfish repowered with f225s also had the 19 inch yammie props which were too tall. I swapped to yammie 17' and these turned close to 6000 wot which was perfect. I had these 17 inch props cupped a bit more lowering my wot around 5800-5900 with increased mid range mpgs. I just repowered her with a pair of new f200 i4's and I do have these 17' available for sale as well as a pair of 17' merc rev 4 blades with the Yamaha hubs if you are interested. PM me..Charles
