Do you have the 4.2 liter F300 Offshore 4-stroke motors?

I'd say it depends on your loading when you reach 5600 RPM. That's certainly within the max RPM range of 5000-6000 for the F300 quoted by Yamaha, but if you are reaching that very lightly loaded but you usually carry a much heavier load, you might want to try 17 pitch props.

But if it were my boat and the boat is fairly normally loaded, I'd just leave it as is! You're not likely to see much of a difference by changing props, and the F300's (if that's what you have) have plenty of low and mid-range torque.

Your definitely a little over pitched. propgods.com has been very helpful for several of us. I suspect you'd do better with 15 3/4 by 15P's. The extra 1/2" diameter makes a big difference. Propgods could confirm that for you though.

I unfortunately I hold enough charge boat, I'm afraid to fall in step 19 to 17che cruising speed are affected consumption.

I'll try to contact Propgods.

I had the same concern when dropping from a 15.25 by 17P to 15.75 by 15P, however my experience was completely opposite. Lower rpm at cruise and better wide open speed.
