Hi All,

Can anyone tell me the accurate measurement of a 2006 282 Sailfish, for a trailer. I tried a search but NG, I’m sure some of you know but if you don’t. It’s from the bow eye to the transom. I know the book says center line of 28’ but I am doubting that is from the bow eye. I believe that is the centerline of the boat less the pulpit.
I own the boat, in the water and own a trailer (recently purchased) and would like to set it before hauling. For information it is a triple axle bunk GVWR 12400 with a carry weight of 10600.
Thanks for replies/info. in advance.
*Maybe, if you own a 282 and it’s in the water, if you have a trailer for it, can you measure from the bow stop back to the end of the last roller or bunk. Please.

You could try contacting Grady. Or, just tie up alongside a dock - you can easily get the measurement that way - or at least close enough as makes no difference.

I have an 06 Sailfish and a trailer...Boat is at the shop; however, the trailer is here at work. It is a bunk trailer, I can get you whatever measurement you need it a bunk trailer will work.

You can get the overall measurement from the Grady product line brochures for your year They are available online. That measure should be from transom to end of pulpit (assuming pulpit was standard equipment). Estimate where the bow eye is by looking over the side and using that point as a reference, measure on the deck from there to the end of the pulpit. So lets say the overall is 31.5 feet and the bow eye is 5 feet back ( I made these up), then the bow eye to transom would be 26 1/2 feet.

Thanks for the feedback, offer to measure Motivator, and good ideas Seasick. Also Dennis G01. I waited for Grady and have the spec sheet. So here it is. Thanks again.
