I bought my 2010 slightly used. It came mounted with a Windline URM-2 bow roller and a Delta type anchor. The URM -2 is for Danforth type anchors but apparently had been modified to fit the delta by cutting a 11/8 inch opening in the bail to allow the delta to pass thru it. It worked "ok" but I got tired of running forward to kick the anchor off of the windlass , more times than not. Over the winter I bought a Windline BRM-2 that is designed to work with delta/ bruce type anchor. This roller has NO bail, so now my problem is that it keeps jumping off of the roller as its making the pivot. Windline says it doesnt sell a bail for that model but I feel that I should put one on. I know that I have to do some work on the shackle size etc to make it pass thru easier and not hang up, but was just wondering if anyone out there has had this type of issue and if they had found a resolution. I have attached links to the 2 bowrollers in question..just bear in mind that my urm-2 has an opening in the top of the bail whereas the picture shows the bail closed. Thanks for any ideas.
